Houston Raceway Park, a 400-acre facility East of Houston, was constructed by Angel Brothers from ground up. This facility, known for its record-breaking quarter-mile drag strip has a surround-vision three-story suite complex, seating for over 30,000 and a 30 acre paved pit area and padded parking for over 20,000 vehicles. The facility also boast of a newly constructed state of the art 3/8 mile oval dirt track that includes seating for approximately 10,000 race fans including luxury suites. With a 50% interest in the facility, Angel Brothers stands behind its products.
Complementing its major event schedule, HRP's quarter-mile drag strip presents a year-round program of special events including weekly bracket racing, tune and test sessions, street racing, junior dragsters, automobile dealer association ride and drive programs, television commercial filming and concerts. Due to the location, many of the NHRA professional teams utilize the warm climate and test at Houston Raceway Park in preparation for the upcoming season.
The high banked oval is home to a spectacular season of dirt racing in South Texas. HRP will host two World of Outlaw Shootouts, a formula USA flat track motorcycle race, a Monster Truck jam, a SUPRA/NCRA late model race and some surprises to be announced as well. In addition to these annual events, the weekly racing program runs each Saturday night starting in February and going through November.
